So… we’re going old school to up-cycle textiles and put polluting plastic shopping bags into remission… We’re having a Reusable Shopping Bags Sewing Bee on Sat. June 4, 2017 from 1-4 pm at the Fayetteville (NY) Free Library maker space.

If you have a machine and know how to sew, bring it with you on June 4 @ 1 pm & come make reusable shopping bags out of recycled textiles from linens, clothes, etc.

See Mainstream Green’s Reusable Shopping Bag Pinterest Board for lots of cool ideas and patterns to download.

If you don’t have a machine or you don’t know how to sew but want to learn, come to a training session at the Fayetteville Free Library on Weds. May 24 @ 6:30 pm and use one of 8 machines in the maker space there!. Then come to the Bee on June 4 @ 1 pm, same place. Make bags to give away or use yourself. Refreshments available to purchase at cafe. A splendid time is guaranteed for all. RSVP to reserve a machine using Facebook, Linked in or Instagram.
